It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Hook had spent the last twenty minutes trying to send what was apparently called a 'text message' from his talking phone. If it was a talking phone, then why could you click letters on it too? It was so absurd. This device seemed to have so many different functions. Hook had been rather impressed that he'd learned how to call her, but now, had texted him and it was a whole other bloody mission to reply.
He had been on his way to the diner, but the message had captured his attention . . . his undivided attention. So now he was leaning against the wall of a building on the street, trying to push random buttons that would miraculously cause letters to appear. A . . . n . . . d . . . "No!" Great! Another other letter popped up and then the word automatically changed to . . . abduction?! "What the bloody hell," he mumbled to himself. So not only could you type things, but the words also automatically changed.
Hook gripped the phone tightly, taking a deep breath and trying to ensure he didn't throw it to the ground. This was so damn irritating. Why couldn't they just use birds to deliver messages. This place was small enough; it's not like it would take long to find the person. These talking phones weren't the only bizarre items in this place. He had found a rather fascinating place the other day. He didn't now how he was ever gong to get used to all this . . . but he was far from giving up. He wanted to stay here for Emma so he was going to damn well learn all he could. it may be a world without magic but it really had quite a lot that even magic would not be able to comprehend.

Elsa approached Hook as he seemed to be smashing the small talking device that Emma had given him. Elsa still had no idea how that thing was supposed to work. The one time Elsa saw him try to use it, nothing happened. Emmas voice didn't come out of the device. And it was supposed to... that was the craziest thing she had ever heard. She approached her old timey-same outfit every day- friend and nudged his shoulder with hers, "Hey, Killian... what are you doing to that poor thing?" she asked, leaning over to look at it.
It seemed like there were words on the thing called a 'screen'. She was extremely confused by that. First it is supposed to have a way to reach Emma from large distances, now it's supposed to send letters over what... electrical waves? She felt herself getting a headache just thinking about it. "I swear, that little box is the strangest thing I've seen in this world so far," she pointed at the talking phone.

It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Hook was pulled out of his frustrated thoughts with a welcome distraction. He looked up from the phone at Ice Queen, who nudged him and asked what he was doing to this 'poor' thing. The poor one was him, trying to understand how to use this ridiculous contraption. He looked back down at the screen when she did, and much to his relief, she seemed equally perplexed by it. Good. He wasn't the only one. Of course it also made sense, as he and Elsa -- especially Elsa -- had not spent as much time in this world as most of the others. They had grown accustomed to these devices and their uses of them. For them, it was still somewhat new. Especially for the ice queen.
"It's not so much what I'm doing to it, Snowflake, but rather, what it is doing to me," he said, glaring at the small but powerful advice. "And that is that it's being a bloody nuisance," he finished, deciding to give up on it and just tucked it away in his pocket. "Aye," he said, agreeing whole heartedly with Elsa. "And we come from a land with magic beans and giant beanstalks." Which, was not bizarre to them, but clearly it was to people from this world.
He still recalled Emma's reaction to such things. Something that Elsa said suddenly caught his attention as he was now able to focus away from his agitation with the talking phone. "Really? Because shockingly, I have witnessed even stranger things than this," he told her. "Care to see?" He asked, a slightly playful smile forming on his lips. If anything, perhaps it would help take her mind off her sister.

Elsa chuckled at Hooks little nickname for her. If he had tried that a week ago she probably would've turned him into a snowflake. But they had reached a point of friendship now that made it okay. It was nice to have friends, however strange they may be. "Awe, I see. That does make more sense to me. That it would be the one inconveniencing you when you are 'oh so innocently' just trying to use it for communication." she chuckled. But really, those things did seem like way more trouble than they were worth. Wasn't it easier to strap a letter to a carrier pigeon or give it to a messenger on horseback? So much more practical.
"I see your point," Elsa stated as he mentioned that they did indeed come from magical lands, "But at least magic is consistent. This 'technology' sometimes just stops working, apparently." She rolled her eyes. Granted, sometimes people lost their magical powers too... but it was the magic of the land that never changed. At least back home.
Elsa leaned away from him and raised an eyebrow when he said he had seen stranger things than the small device in his hand. Now that was a concerning thought! "Okay... Yes. Yes, show me something stranger than that. Though, I hardly believe it is possible."

It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Elsa spoke of how it made sense that he was the one being inconvenienced by this infuriating device. "Aye," he said, agreeing with her latter words, particularly the innocent part. "Besides, I haven't broken it . . . yet," he added, enunciating the last word in his statement. He was ready to crash that thing to the ground, but Emma had given it to him. And when they were apart, it was the only way he had of contacting her. Besides, people here seemed pretty reliant on it. He hoped he never got to that point.
"I'm glad this amuses you," he said with a smile that was both sarcastic and slightly playful. He was of course not offended in the slightest; in fact, it was good to see her smiling. There were far too many tears in this place. Smiles and laughter was more seldom seen, thus far more needed. Not that he had been exactly known to be the man who brought a smile to someone's lips. But he was working on it; he liked to think he was more . . . reformed now.
She then spoke of how magic was consistent and that much was quite true. Technology apparently stopped working sometimes . . . hell, this contraption had a mind of its own. "Quite right," he agreed whole heartedly. "Even with this device, you have to bloody charge it every so often or it stops working." Who had the time for that?! And it was with strange prongs that you plugged into the wall. How bizarre was that?
She then expressed what appeared to be intrigue at his suggestion of witnessing something stranger tha n this. "Best believe it, love," he began to tell her. "You'll find something stranger every day in this place." He had been here for some time -- though not as long as others -- and he was still finding odd things. "Shall we?" He said, motioning with his hand for her to start walking as he did the same, leading her in the direction of their destination. "Even the food here is quite different," he added, making conversation during their walk. "Have you ever tried a French fry?" He asked, recalling his experience first tasting one. He had to admit, it was rather delicious. A highly strange concept but delicious non the less.

Elsa puffed a whiff of air out of her mouth and waved her hand dismissively towards the phone, "I'd break one of those things within an hour, I'd get so stressed out that I'd freeze it to death." That was something she was sure wouldn't be good for the small electronic device. Apparently electronics didn't like being iced over... surprise!
The smile remained on her face however, for the fact that Killian was struggling with such a small device really did amuse her. She shrugged, "what can I say, I'm simple minded. I get a good laugh watching grown men struggle."
When he mentioned charging the phone, Elsas eyebrow raised and her mouth twisted into a confused shape, "What? What does that even mean?" She shook her head in disbelief, so much terminology and care went into that tiny box. This world.... so absurd.
"We shall!" she started walking in the direction he gestured and kept a steady pace beside him as he spoke. She clicked her tongue for a moment, trying to decide if she had indeed tried the French fry... "I think so... is it the potatoes that are shaped liked... fingers? If so, I am pretty sure they are delicious. But, I agree, very strange."

It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Elsa admitted that she would have broken one of those things within an hour . . . growing stressed from it's use. "Believe me, love, I have most certainly thought about it." But then he knew that Emma may not be too pleased and well . . . he couldn't totally deny its conveniences. "In all it's faults, it does provide a rapid means of communicating with someone. Even if said someone doesn't always answer," he said, recalling how many messages he tends to leave for Emma . . . just when it's something important. Timing; how off it was at times. She then stated that she enjoyed watching a grown man suffer.
"Then I look forward to the day that you are forced to utilize such a complicated device from this realm," he said teasingly toward her, not genuinely offended of course. "For it will warrant the same reaction from me," he further teased. Her surprised confusion reappeared when he told her that you had to charge these things so that they were functional. "I haven't the slightest idea," he admitted. "You have to insert them into these three holes in a wall, that have very specific locations." It really was a bizarre concept. And he couldn't recall the name of such things. Plogs? Pligs? Plagies? "Plugs!" He suddenly burst out. "Aye, they're called plugs." She then seemed intrigued by his offer as she agreed to join him. Good. He imagined she was often plagued with concern for her sister, so whatever he could do to take her mind off of it for at least a little while, he was willing to do. "Aye," he confirmed. "Those are the ones. And its customary here to dip them in a red paste made from tomatoes. I truly wonder who thought up these concepts." Who would think to squash tomatoes and dip things in them? "Now that we've discussed the confusion of the negative, tell me Snowflake, what pleasures have you found here?" What sort of devices, foods, items, did she find fascinating in a good way. May as well try to be positive about their experience here.

Elsa clicked her tongue in thought as he explained the benefits of the little device. "Awe yes, I've see this happen where the receiver doesn't answer when it is most inconvenient. It does seem more... immediate than carrier pigeons too. And perhaps a little bit more stealthy?" she shrugged, finding that maybe this thing did have it's upsides.
She smirked and then dropped her jaw at his next comment, "My dear, Killian! You are incorrigible." She shook her head and placed her hands on her hips in defiance. She had never really been friends with many males, but Killian was making that transition easy. Her confusion slipped back into place when he explained these 'plugs'. Her eyes widened and her brow furrowed, "Ooookay. Plugs it is," she made a mental note to look into that further.
She nodded as he talked about the tomato paste for the french fries, "Yes! Those are the ones. You have to admit, the things they think up here are rather brilliant. They may not do so well back in the Enchanted Forest however... or Arendelle... or Neverland..." She shrugged, "Well, any type of food would fit in with Neverland. What with you pirates, and all." She truthfully didn't know that much about the place, but from what she could tell it was mostly made up of males. Young, old and... Killian.
He brought up an intruiging question next, as to what she enjoyed about the place. She placed a finger on her chin as she thought for a moment, trying to remember things that she enjoyed. "Hmm... well, instant coffee is very interesting. I also enjoy that I can... what is the term... 'flick a switch' and the lights will turn on," she contemplated a little more, "Oh! And bathing is much easier!" She smiled happily. "What about you?"

It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Elsa spoke of her familiarity with the devices and how the receiver didn't answer posing an inconvenience. That tended to happen most times he tried to call Emma. "This is true," he agreed with her when she said how it was more immediate and stealthy compared to pigeons.
"And there's no chance of anyone shooting them down," he added. "I suppose there are indeed perks to this device. Seems we just need more time to grow accustomed to its use." Something he knew he had since he intended to stay here, though he was unsure as to how long Elsa's duration of stay would be in Storybrooke. He imagined that once she found her sister, or a way back, then she would take it. She did after all, have a kingdom to lead.
When she told him he was incorrigible, he couldn't help but give a bit of a cheeky smile, taking it as a compliment rather than an insult. "Fair is fair, love," he told her playfully, fully prepared to get even once she encountered something she could not quite understand how to use. There seemed to be so many new things in this world, and the intrigue was enough for Killian to keep trying to learn as much as he could about them. Which went nicely into their conversation regarding speaking of how brilliant some of these inventions were. She was right; he certainly couldn't deny that completely. He gave a bit of a chuckle when she said how any food would do well in Neverland.
"Right you are about that, lass. There are only so many rodents and plants one can consume." His time on Neverland though fruitful, had been far too long. "Surely something from here could be savored and transitioned to Arendelle. What about ice cream? Or, ice cones? Or freezies?" He was teasing a little, the irony that something was called freezies or ice cones here. But they were quite interesting. Had a rather fascinating taste and concept.
Her answer to his question made him smile as he recalled his first uses of these things. A light switch; such a simple concept apparently but to them, pure genius. Avoided the trouble of flint and tinder or finding other ways to start a fire for light. No more lanterns, nor more firewood . . . just a simple switch and behold! There was light. And of course coffee. A delicious beverage that Killian found himself enjoying practically every morning. "Good choices," he approved. Her comment about how bathing was easier brought a bit of a smirk to his face, unable to resist remarking on it.
"Aye, bathing certainly is far easier here," he began to say, clearly going somewhere with the comment. Though he did remember his first experience with what was called a shower and bloody hell, it had been remarkable. "And its designated area is more spacious, should one ever desire company," he said playfully. He obviously wasn't propositioning her, but merely commenting on well, bathing. How could he forgo such an opportunity though prompted by her innocent answer to his question.
A question she then returned to him when she asked what pleasures he found here in regards to the inventions that they lacked in their world. "These, vehicular cars are certainly interesting," he began to say, rather impressed with himself that he remembered the name though not realizing the redundancy of the way he phrased the term. They also hurt like hell when getting hit by one -- as it had landed him in the hospital for quite some time. "The amount of beverage selection here is outstanding," he added on.
"Particularly in their variety of alcoholic drink." He had been enjoying experimenting with the different kinds . . . venturing beyond just rum. "There is also this device called a . . . GSP, something or another. Where apparently, you enter the coordinates of your desired destination and it creates a map for you to follow." It took away the adventure of finding a place, something that Killian loved when being out on sea. But he could see the conveniences of it as well. "Sometimes, there is even a woman talking to you while she gives instructions." That had scared the hell out of him the first time he heard it.

"That is also very accurate," Elsa nodded in agreement as he continued to make good points about the perks of the strange devices in this modernized world of electricity and science. She sighed at the mention of time, "I suppose one must get used to their surroundings in a situation like this," a situation where they were stuck here for... who knows how long.
'It's funny you should mention ice cream..." she stated, "I actually have just acquired a position serving people ice cream at the little ice cream shop, for temporary employment. I must say it is odd having a job," she contemplated. She had only worked one shift so far, one of training, and it was strange being told what to do by lesser people. At least in rank, not that she ever found anyone lesser.
They continued to speak on electric devices and the eases of the new world as they made their way to a place that Killian had yet to explain. "What? Oh my," Elsa shook her head and her eyes widened as he implied sharing a bath with someone else. She knew, of course, that he was romantic with Emma. The thought still made her cringe a little though, the bath thing. "Oh Lord, Killian. Was that really necessary?" she chuckled with furrowed brows.
"Cars! I rode in Emmas the other day. Quite frightening little things," she nodded, "And of course you'd notice the beverages." She didn't really have an opinion on alcohol at this point. The royal family had a collection, of course, but she didn't really drink it for pleasure as many others did. No, it was mostly just a side flavor to a fancy meal.
"Wait, wait. Is the woman the GSP? She just follows you around and gives directions?" her eyebrows REALLY raised at this thought.

It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Elsa spoke of how they would need to get used to their surroundings for who knows how long they were stuck here for. That was true; they certainly needed to conform to this lifestyle. Though for Killian, he had made a conscious choice to return. He wasn't here because Zelena's curse had placed him here; he had come for Emma, because the town needed her. And he would stay for her. There was nothing for him back over there, not even his ship any more. His life was now here, in Storybrooke -- in this bizarre land. "Best enjoy it while you can, love," Hook said with a smile . . . though it was something that she seemed to be doing. If anything, at least it allowed her to distract her mind -- even if only for a few moments -- from worrying about her sister. She then went on to explain that she was working at an ice cream shop, something that made Killian smirk; a gleam of amusement on his face.
"Does that mean I will get free ice cream?" He said, only half kidding. It must indeed be odd for her serving others, as she was a royal in Arendelle. Killian was not overly fond of royals; they made others do their bidding with no thought of consequence or risk . . . feeling entitled because of their higher position. Killian had learned that after his brother's death, which of course led to his rebellion against the crown. He supposed he rejected any form of authority . . . but then again, that was then. And much had happened since. Hell, he was in love with a woman who was technically a princess. "Status is of no consequence in this land," he began to tell her. "Whether you are a royal of peasant, all appear the same here." They dressed similarly, they didn't have servants in the same way . . . yes. Rank was quite different here indeed. He then chuckled at her reaction to his words, as she asked him if it was necessary. "If only to see your reaction, then aye. It was very necessary," he told her teasingly. "It's just something to keep in mind, should you fancy anyone here," he added in more teasing toward her. Killian didn't often discriminate the way he spoke to others, despite their status and position of authority . . . so even as Elsa was queen, he was still enjoying the teasing he could bestow on her. Her reactions to cars, having ridden in Emma's, made him think of her yellow little automobile that was called a buggy . . . or something of the sort. "They indeed are," he confirmed. "And Swan's is a small little one, compared to other cars like her father's." Which was apparently called a truck and had more legroom for him.
"Horses are far easier to control," he continued. "I've seen the aftermath of accidents in these cars, and they are rather terrible." He had even been hit by one which had hurt like hell. Damn things. "Of course," he agreed with a cheeky smile. "I just so happen to work at the bar where I have access to all the drinks. Should you ever feel like experimenting one night, certainly come by," he told her truthfully, though there was a bit of tease in his voice as he was unable to picture the queen of Arendelle taking what was apparently known here as a shot.
In regards to the GPS . . . now that was a little difficult to explain, for Killian didn't fully understand it himself. "Not quite," he began to say. "The woman is somewhere else, and she talks through some communication device where we follow her instruction. Somehow, she knows our destination and how to take us there. I haven't quite figured out how it functions," he admitted. "Only that it can be bloody convenient at times." Especially if there was an emergency and he needed to be in a specific location quickly. At least Storybrooke was small and therefore, very easy to navigate in.

Elsa smiled back half-heartedly as Hook suggested she enjoy the place while she could. She was planning on doing that, of course, but it wasn't go to easy. Granted, Storybrooke had a lot of new people to met and places to go, a good distraction from the things that were actually troubling her.
"Hmm... maybe everyone once in a while. I can't go around giving everyone free stuff!" she chuckled. Granted, Killian was pretty lenient at the bar sometimes, but she felt that wasn't necessary to mention at the present moment. She nodded as he talked about the obsolete nature of status here. This made her smile, "It's actually kind of nice, you know? People don't stare at me as much or expect as much from me..." She drifted into her next thought, "Do you miss pirating?"
"Well, I am certain that's not going to happen," Elsa replied as he told her to keep the baths in mind. No, Elsa had never really thought of romance before and the thought did make her a little self conscious. Especially this bath idea!!
"I don't understand why the cares are different shapes an sizes... is it like an art? Does someone design them for pleasure?" she asked, thinking about the difference between all of the cars she had seen around town. "Yes! Horses listen and then don't explode when you crash into something. Cars are so combustible," she shook her head.Elsa just rolled her eyes and chuckled as he mentioned the drinks.
"So... the GPS is like a phone?" she asked with a quirked eyebrow. Notes: my coding got all wacky. Anyway, that picture of them and the phone still cracks me up!

Notes: No worries, I loved your post! And I totally know what you mean! That scene between them is just too funny; I absolutely had to incorporate it somehow into my layout! Also, apologies for the ridiculously long post! It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Hook smirked when she said that she would give him free ice cream every once in a while, unable to give everyone things without charge. "Make you a deal, you grant me free ice cream and I will offer you free drink. I make a mean Pink Squirrel. Whatever . . . the hell that is, I promise it's more appetizing than it sounds," he quickly added, hoping to entice her with the bizarre name. That was something he learned rather quickly here; how strange all the names of the drinks were. And what was stranger, is that people seemed to know all of them! Ah well. He was learning and what valuable lessons they were indeed.
She then commented on how it was nice that they were all void of any status or rank here. That she could be here free of stares and pressures. "Aye. I imagine it is quite liberating to live like a humble civilian," he said a bit teasingly toward her. Her next question caused him to pause in thought, concealing the weight that the inquiry had on him. For so many years, a pirate's life was all he had ever known. And even before then, he had been a man of the sea. This was perhaps the longest he had ever been on land and truth be told, he did miss it. The smell of the water, the sound of the waves, the cool breeze, the adventure. It was why he often went to the docks, just to take in the sight of the vast and seemingly endless open water. What a beautiful sight it was.
"To a certain extent," he said honestly. "What's not to miss about a life of adventure, loot, and drink." He of course had to leave out the women part . . . considering he was talking to Emma's friend. "But I don't regret leaving it behind me. For I found reason worth staying for; one that supersedes all else." Emma. It was why that no matter how much he thought of his life at sea, he never regretted his decision to give up the Jolly Roger, because it had united him and the woman he loves. And even if Emma had not chosen to be with him, he still would not have regretted his decision . . . for it brought her home to her family, where she truly belonged.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when Elsa spoke of how she was certain it wasn't going to happen, and it took him a quick moment to realize it was pertaining to his bathing comment. "Now I'm not one to engage in what I have come to know is girl talk, but are you saying that you haven't found anyone here that you fancy?" He paused for a moment, before he continued to add a lighter note to the question. "And I know I'm devilishly handsome, but apologies lass, for I'm off the market," he added in further teasing, the arrogant tone apparent in his voice.
As they spoke about the curious but fascinating invention of cars, Elsa voiced her lack of understanding as to why they were all different shapes and sizes, as she had experienced riding in Emma's. That lack of understanding, was certainly something they shared. In fact, it was rather refreshing to talk about all the absurdities of this world. The others were either from here, or lived here long enough to grow accustomed to them. But with Elsa, as a fellow newcomer, it was quite nice to speak about a mutual confusion about some things in this land without magic.
"I often wonder the same thing. Everyone's cars are so different, and have odd names. Swan's car is called a buggy." What kind of bloody name was that? "And apparently it is customary to punch someone in the arm when catching sight of one," he added, recalling when Henry had done it to him and said something along the lines of . . . punch buggy no punch backs. "Some of the traditions in this realm are just as absurd as the inventions."
"Agreed. Who would have thought that horses would be far easier to control than these cars." Apparently, one needed extensive training before they were permitted to drive one. She then questioned the GPS, and he enjoyed the fact that she found it as fascinating as he did. "Something of the like," he confirmed. "I honestly can't say. Still haven't quite figured out how to work it. I just know that it talks and if you listen, you get to your destination. Perhaps we should experiment with it some time," he suggested. Though, if it was in a car . . . he had no idea how to steer one of those things. Surely he could do it one handed though.

Elsa shook her head at Hooks offer for a deal, "Not going to happen. I know you will want more ice cream than I will alcohol. It won't even out," at the mention of the 'pink squirrel' Elsa's jaw dropped, "well it better be! that sounds extremely horrid," she stuck her tongue out as if she to rid her mouth of the taste.
Elsa nodded in agreement as he guessed it was 'liberating' to live as a civilian. "It really is. It's strange being able to do whatever I want. And have a job," she chuckled a little at the thought of her job. it was such a foreign concept to a Queen.
As Killian discussed pirating, Elsa couldn't help but fangirl a little about the obvious implications toward Emma. Which brought her into his next question about whether or not someone had captred her attention in that way. She shook he head, "oh, you know I don't have time for that sort of thing." She rolled her yes at his next comment, "oh Killian, you're breaking my heart!" She feigned a damsel in distress type of deal as she draped her arm across her forehead dramatically.
Elsa simply nodded in exasperated agreement about the cars and horses issue. As he explained the GPS or tried to, Elsa's eyes widened even more "okay, now I am extremely freaked out," she said slowly. "No, don't experiment with it! You could get lost. It could trick you," she nodded as if this was an obvious fact.

It's a device for... TALKING, I DON'T BLOODY KNOW Hook gave a slight chuckle as she rejected his deal, claiming that he would eat more ice cream than she would drinks. "I can prepare drinks without the alcoholic ingredients," he offered to her. The fact that she had said no to the offer, made him all the more determined to find a way to get her to agree . . . even though it wasn't as if he was going to eat ice cream every day. Hook enjoyed a good challenge and he was taking this as such. "Granted, it doesn't provide the same enjoyment, but it is nearly just as delicious," he told her, further attempting to temp her to accept. She even spoke of how the drink he spoke of sounded horrible -- which it did.
"There are even some other beverages that include doing pleasurable things on a beach." Sex on a Beach he believed the drink to be called, but he doubted the queen would appreciate his bluntness in stating the name. Hopefully his words were enough to imply just what sort of pleasurable things he was referring to. She then spoke of how it was strange to do whatever she wanted, and to have a job. "Ah, you mean a job differing from your one as a Queen," he both stated and questioned, as he imagined that in itself was a job. "At least in your occupation here it is not full time, as you receive time off," he added, figuring that being a queen required a full time commitment.
She then told him how she did not have time for romance and Killian continued to smile at her words. When he had been with Milah, it had been so different. They had been able to spend all day together as they were aboard the Jolly Roger, and even when they made land, they remained in each other's company for the most part. But now, with Emma, it was quite different. With her son, parents, threats of evil, duties as a Sheriff, and obligations as the Savior . . . well, time wasn't always something that was on their side. But still, they were able to make it work. "Do not forgo an opportunity due to any lacking time you may feel you have," he began to tell her. "You may find yourself missing out and a shortage of time, will hardly be an excuse to miss such an opportunity." Meaning, it was worth it.
That when you truly cared for someone, you just found a way to make things work. Her tease of how he was breaking her heart and dramatized reaction, caused him to arrogantly smile. "I know love," he said playing along. "You're not the first woman to say so," he added, only partly joking. "I know how my devilishly good looks can make women weep and their hearts to break." It was nice to see her continue to find ease in his company; allow herself to engage in any teasing and humor the conversation created. Her added words of how she was freaked out, and how the device could trick him continued to make him smile.
"Fear not lass. It is a quite a difficult task to trick a pirate, as we tend to be the masters of trickery," he said cockily. "Besides, worse case scenario, I have my talking phone in the event I do lose familiarity of my surroundings." He paused for a moment looking at her. "You're welcome to join me when I embark on this adventure," he offered. "Though, this one first," he decided, as their destination could now be seen in the not so far distance.
