Elsa had looked for a way back to Storybrooke for a while now. She wanted the two realms connected. It would allow people unhappy in Storybrooke to go home and still be able to visit their friends and family who remained there. She wanted the people here and there to be happy with their life and everything else. Now, with an urgent call from Storybrooke no three months after she returned to her own realm, Elsa had found at least a temporary solution for her to return and help her close – if not best – friends.
Elsa was pulling on her dress, trying to get it to cover more of her knees. The first order of business had not been with Emma or Killian alone, it had been with others, insisting she’d try modern fasion. Now she wore a light summer dress that felt entirely too short for her. For now she would try. She hoped it would send the desired message to her friend, Emma: She was willing to go the distance, to do that for her. She had walked the way to Emmas house alone and knocked. Even Elsa noticed the magic around the door, keeping people out who weren’t welcome inside. She knew that kind of magic all too well. “Emma? I know you’re in there. Please let me in.”

Emma actually wasn't in her lair today. Yes, she was in the house, but currently she was in the kitchen making tea. It had been an incredibly difficult weak, and the worst happened.. Henry was angry with her. Emma had only done what she thought was best, but it seemed like now, the entire town was against her. Of course.. why wouldn't they be? She was the Dark One, after all. Everyone should have hated her.. that's what they did when evil came around. She wasn't expecting a knock on the door, but she didn't move to answer it. She just merely rolled her eyes, not really caring who was there to give her a dose of 'Wheres the real Emma?'. She was completely over it. However, when she heard the voice on the other side of the door, she dropped the spoon she had been holding. It couldn't be...could it?
Emma slowly walked toward the door, and reached out to grab the knob. Could this just be another vision or voice she was hearing in her head? Granted Elsa would be a welcomed change to Rumpelstiltskin. She took a deep breath, and opened the door. Standing there, was Elsa of Arrendell, wearing... a sun dress? Her eyes felt like they were stinging, as if she was going to get teared up.. but she couldn't do that. She had to remain tough. She was the Dark One.. it was what everyone wanted. She might as well give it to them. "Well..looks like the others went really far out of the zip code to collect people didn't they? Let me guess. Dark One intervention at Granny's?" She wanted to reach out and hug Elsa.
She wanted things to be different.. but that wasn't the case. She wondered if Elsa could sense that something was wrong.. or if she was like everyone else in town. Maybe she had a different outlook than the others.

“Not people, one, really.” She replied. There weren’t many behind that, though. It was so sad though. She didn’t know the extend of things but the look on Emmas attire, the look on her face, it spoke volume. Something happened. She was so obviously closed off, had built herself this place. Much like someone else. Elsa had heard from the town how she was apparently a monster, a villain now. They had thought of her as a villain before while it had been her aunt, her own people had seen her as a villain when she had no control of her power. In Emmas case something else was at work, but the similarities could not be dismissed by the young queen – however young you defined someone who was technically around 50 years old by now.
“There won’t be an intervention, Emma. Sadly only one person wanted me to come – for you not against you.” She specified. “Apparently someone thought a girl with ice powers who holed herself up in an ice castle after being seen as a villain could relate to a girl with powers holing herself up in a house while being seen as a villain. To me it does sound close. They thought you needed a friend.” They thought they needed a friend, while the rest concentrated on freeing her. One to not only look out for her, but be there for her. She did not want to be a spy for them. She just wanted to know how her friends were and to be there for her. If they needed her to be close to Emma and to be a friend to her, nothing was easier than that.
“I have news from Arendelle, too. Glorious wonderful news.” Elsa giggled, openly without hiding her mouth behind her hand, which she usually did in public, this was between friends. “There might be a little heir on the way. Anna at least thinks so, but we know her, she gets so easily excited. I am hoping for her she is right, but she might be misjudging the signs in her excitement. Oh and Olaf… you haven’t met Olaf, have you?”
