She thanked him for the blanket and he silently went to a chair, sitting down and leaning back ocomfortably in it. He looked outside at the pouring rain, wondering how long it was going to last. Not that anyone would notice he was missing. He didn't exactly have a lot of friends in this place . . . which served him just fine. "Where do you live?" He asked. He knew that under circumstances, the quesiton could be considered creepy. But really, he was just trying to map out their route when the storm let up.
He wanted ot determine whether it would be quicker to take her through the town or staight to her residence. "Or did your parents teach you not to tell strangers," he added on with continued sracasm, taking a bit of a jab at the age she appeared to be . . . and her maturiy. She was probably only a few years younger than him, but he couldn't help it. He wasn't one to be polite or guard his words and think about whether they hurt someone's feelinsg. He was far too outspoken for that and being in her company was no exception to this trait of it.

Thankfully, it didn't take them long to get to the cabin and she spoke of how she hoped there was a fireplace. Surely she was cold, judging from her state and the way she wrapped her arms around herself. He turned his head to look over her before his gaze returned to the door. "You lose your jacket along with your way," he questioned sarcastically, and somewhat rhetorically. The door was stiff but after a bit of shoving, he managed to push it over, stepping inside and look at his surroundings. When she entereed after him he closed the door behind her. Truth be told, he was glad to see it was still abandoned. He had assumed as much when he initially saw it but one couldn't be too sure. After quickly surveying the area, he made his way to the fireplace, using the wood that was near the area and started tossing it in before lighting a match to get it started. "Happy?" He asked with a bit of sarcasm once again. He then proceeded to take off his jacket, spreading it out on a chair near the fire so that it would dry. He continued to look around the place, going to the bathroom and grabbed the towel that was there, wiping his face with it, before picking up the other for the girl. He tossed it out into the main area, assuming she would see it and take it. He then went into one of the rooms and conveniently finding a blanket. Semeed this place was stocked up pretty good. Lucky for them. He put the towel around the back of his neck and picked up the blanket, going back to the main room. "Here," he said handing it to her. Tag @penny

Her snark was enough to make him suppress an eye roll as he just stared at her. She questioned what he was doing here, referring to him as a guy with attitude. "Well then find your own damn way out of here," he said as he began to walk off, hardly caring about her. But then, he heard her words of aplogy and it caused him to cease walking, keeping his back to her as she went on to say that she was indeed lost. And that she had never gotten lost in the woods before. He looked up for a second as if inwardly kicking his conscience because for some reason, he just couldn't walk away from her. He slowly turned his head to look her over, an unimpressed look on his face. "Wasn't real smart of you to come out here by yourself then," he said bluntly, obviously insulting her intelligence. "Follow me," he instructed. "There's a cabin up ahead that we can stay until the storm passes." He then turned his head back forward and started walking, not bothering to check if she would follow, since he was assuming she would. "Try to keep up," he added on sarcastically, though also meaning it. He didn't have time for stragglers . . . though deep, deep down, he knew he would slow down or stop for her. Tag @penny

Rufio had been spending time in the woods, still growing accustomed to not being watched or heard every moment of every day. It was a liberty that even after twenty eight years of being here . . . he still hadn't entirely adjusted to. The day had started out nicely, but a sudden storm hit causing a massive downpour. Fortunately, Rufio had scouted the area and knew there was an abandoned cabin not far. He jogged through the rain, making his way thruogh it thougha abruptly stopped when he heard something else. Someone else running. He pulled out a dagger, his instincts kicking in to defend himself just in case.
One could always expect nothing less than strange things in Storybrooke. Normally Rufio wouldn't care about anyone else nearby, but this person was close, and on his route. He continued on his path and in the distance, saw a young girl. The rain didn't bother him much, but she was making a run for it. Was she going to where he was heading for shelter? "Hey!" He shouted out to her, hoping it was enough to make her stop running. "What the hell are you doing out here?" He demanded as he walked toward her. His eyes scanned their surroundings. It appeared she was alone. So either she was lost or . . . well, Rufio couldn't think of a better explanation as to why she was out here all by herself.

Rufio slightly squinted as he watched her face carefully, rather than the words she was spelling in the ground. He could see realization cross her features though quickly school her expression, should they be watched right now. She spoke of if she won, and then would be totally up for it. He understood what she meant by these words and gave a short nod. He knew her feelings toward Pan, but he was not going to endanger her by asking her to be a part of this. He was obviously aiming to succeed but should he fail . . . well, he knew it wouldn't end well.
"How about a number game?" He proposed. This supposed game would indicate how many people he already had on board. "I'm thinking of a number from one to ten," he said. "Can you guess it?" He didn't have many right now, but the numbers would build for those he could completely trust. One wrong recruit and the entire plan would fall to pieces. Rufio was a strategist and this was not some fleeting thought. He had considered it, long and hard and he was going to make it happen . . . no matter what the cost was. Pan needed to be overthrown. And Rufio was going to be the one who made it happen.

Rufio had a bad feeling about this. Ever since he saw all the Neverland dwellers come off the pirate's ship . . . something didn't sit well in the former lost boy. How would Pan just, let them leave? Surely he had put up more of a fight or . . . this was what he had wanted all along. Rufio didn't know what it was; paranoia perhaps. He just, had a chill that he couldn't shake. He had already talked to Tinkeberll, but now he wanted to gather more information from someone that everyone in this town looked too. Well, one of the people. Rufio knew of David from what others said, and considering he was Sheriff, well, it was better to ask him rather than the woman of the child who was taken. Rufio's time in Storybrooke during the curse made him more comfortable going ot a known figure rather than someone who had come not all too long ago. In addition to being distrusting and paranoid, Rufio was also extremely cautious. None of the lost boys knew that he had survived. He was reported dead before thrown aboard the ship in his unconscious state. It was best to keep it that way before he could further assess the situation. Despite his limited years outside Neverland, it wasn't enough to eliminate that feeling of always being watched and heard. Privacy was not always a luxury in Pan's world and he was still growing accustomed to the freedom of this place. However, that didn't mean he wasn't going to take the necessary precautons. He was standing against the wall of the Sheriff's station, anyone who had left from it didn't seem to notice him . . . not that there were that many people who had. He was merely waiting for David to emerge. To further camoflauge himself, he had his hood up, and his hands in his pocket. To any on looker, he supposed this could be a very shady sight of him leaining against the wall for a rather long period of time . . . but this was necessary. When he finally saw the co Sheriff walk out toward his car, Rufio glanced every which way before following him from behind stopping when David did. Standing behind the man, Rufio spoke. "I need to talk to you," he said in a low voice. Yes; shady indeed.

He wanted to tell her, but freedom here was . . . well, non existant. Not unless they were around totally closed walls. She told him to cheer up, and quite frankly, it was difficult to do so with what he wanted to get done. Yet her optimism was always such a comfort, even if he would never admit it. "Wanna play a game?" He suddenly asked. Rufio wasn't exactly one who was always up for games but this one had purpose. "I'm going to describe something and you have to guess what the word is. When you think you've got it, write it out on the ground." He reached over and picked up a stick for her to take. If anyone was watching or listening . . . well, this would just look like an innocent game. Besides, he was going to build it up a bit. It wouldn't require any movement and would seem fairly casual.
"What is a person who can't hear called?" He first asked her. Deaf. A small build up to his second question. "What's a person who can't see called??" Blind. When she answered it, for it was easy enough, he created the third question that was more central to what he had to tell her. "And what's a person called who can't speak?" For that word was in the term he wanted to express to her: his plan. Mutiny. And he knew that once she guessed it, he could give a non verbal indicator to lead her on the path of realizing, just what it was he was planning.

Tink allowed him inside and Rufio felt instantly better now that he was within the walls and privacy of her place of stay. It was a rather uncommon feeling, of not being watched all the time. He had grown so used to it being in Pan's territory for so long, that having this sort of freedom was . . . odd. But in a good way. "I hate pirates," he grumbled, displeased with them, regardless of whether they spared his life or not. He woudln't have had it not been for Tinkerbell. She told him that she missed him, that she was glad he hadn't been there any more for he would have gotten killed. "So could you have," he told her.
"If Pan had known that you knew of my plans, he would have killed you too for treason." Whatever rule Pan held over everyone, breaking them had their consequences. "I never would have willingly left without you." He was not pleased that he had. "So what I have to say is that you shouldn't have done that," he told her. He knew that he should be thanking her, but he had been far too fearful thinking that something had hapepned to her . . . and now he was able to express that as they were reunited after so many years. "Dumping me on a ship full of pirates was not the solution." And because he saw himself as a leader . . . he didn't like others making such decisions for him. Especially when it involved those -- or a particular person -- that he cared about.

When Rufio saw the door open to reveal Tink, he quickly assessed her appearance, just as he had when she came off the ship only this time he had a closer look. And she appeared to be uninjured. That was a massive relief. He then suddenly felt her arms wrap around him in a hug. Now, Rufio wasn't much of a hugger, so he just stood there a bit awkwardly, before his hands very slowly found their way to rest on her back. He eased into the embrace, closing his eyes for a few moments, and he felt waves of sentiment that he had not experienced for quite some time. Not since he left the island. Not since the curse, or even since the curse broke. Hearing her tear filled words caused him to slowly move back and look at her. He hated to see her cry, though he supposed it was better to see tears of joy than ones of pain.
"The more shocking bit is that you're here," he told her, looking her over once more. He couldn't believe it. Tinkerbell was really the only person he would have wanted to see from Neverland, and here she was. As were the others. But he wanted to focus on one thing at a time. "Can I come in?" He asked, his eyes glancing down the hallway, clearly not wanting to be discovered right now. "I think we have a lot to talk about," he said with a half, ever so slight smile. The first genuine one he had cracked in so long. Thanks to her. Thanks to seeing she was safe. He had failed in protecting his sister, and when he woke up on that damn pirate ship and found out they had left her behind . . . well, angry did not even begin the cover the emotions he'd felt.

Rufio was indeed deep in thought. A plan had started to take formation, and he knew full well that it was one that could very well cost him his life. But it was worth it. He already had a couple of the lost boys on board, but they were only ones he trusted emphatically. In fact, he had been further encouraged after a conversation with one of thme, boldly speaking about Pan. Rufio was aware that Peter was canniving enough to set that whole thing up just to weed out any potential traitors . . . but Rufio trusted his gut, and it was telling him that these boys were not carrying out some evil ploy. Their feelings were genuine. And that was when what had only seemed like a dream, could become a reality. Rufio was going to overthrow Pan and take control of the island. He was pulled out of his deep thoughts when he heard Tinkerbell say his name. He didn't often venture from the company of the others . . . in fact, that only time he did was when he was with Tinkerbell, if she was not with all of them.
And such moments like this, were indeed a rarity. But he couldn't help but feel protective of the woman. She reminded him of someone he lost many years ago, and had reignited those frateneral instincts that he once had. "You of all people know how untrue that is," he answered, not denying that he did have something on his mind, but also knew that Pan could be listening. That was part of the problem; he had spies everywhere. "Even when we're alone, we may not be." He was aware that he was being ominious, and gave her a short nod, to indicate that there was something, but he felt unsafe to speak about it in the open like this . . . even though they were in a hammock, away from the rest of the group.

Rufio had to admit that he never thought he would see the Neverland dwellers ever again. It was bad enough that there were now pirates running around Storybrooke. But as soon as he saw the ship, and the people that started trickling from it . . . Rufio knew this wasn't good. He was presumed dead by the Lost Boys, and if he had remained alive he would have been considered a traitor. Fortunately, the others that had joined with him had not been discovered for he saw them depart from the ship as well. But, now was not the time for Rufio to make his survival known. He needed to tread carefully, unsure where their loyalties lay as it seemed that Pan was not among them. The one person that he did pause at their sight of was Tinkerbell. She was alive; she was safe. That allowed unimaginable relief to wash over him, though he showed no sign of it. Had he not been unconscious, he would have refused to leave her. But seeing that she was free from the tyrant's wrath, was indeed a great relief. The massive crowd that had come to greet the returned began to disperse, and Rufio was not going to stay for long. He had managed to remain unseen, and would keep it that way for the time being. He was however, eager to seek out the company of one new arrival in particular; one whom he knew he could trust. It had taken a few hours, and a lot of sneaky following, but he managed to discover where and when Tink was in her room. He had to wait until the late hour, for Granny's also held other Lost Boys that he was still remaining dead to. When the hour was late enough that he could be certain all were asleep, he quietly made his way up the stairs and to the hall checking the door room and taking a deep breath, he lightly knocked on the door of Tinkerbell's room. @tinkerbell

.:Physical Appearance:. Rufio is a rather tall individual, especially for his age, with an athletic build. He has brown eyes and dark wavy hair. His skin has a slight natural tan to it and he's often seen dressed in casual clothing. He always carries his favored weapon of a slingshot with him, finding it has the ability to cause the most damage to a foe. .:Portrayed by:. Bob Morley
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Rufio isn't exactly someone who can be initially considered as kind or compassionate. He can come off strong, and aggressive. He has a hard exterior, seeming to always have his guard raised and seldom lets it down for another. Rufio is quite stubborn, and when he makes a decision, sticks with it. He is well respected by the Lost Boys and does what is necessary without so much as flnching or batting an eye. He doesn't smile often, frequently holding a more serious expression on his face. He has a strong charisma and knows how to inspire a crowd, displaying the qualities of a natural born leader . . . which was part of the problem. Under the rough exterior, he has a softer side, one that had only been seen with his younger sister. He believes that part of him died with her, and left only is the who he became as Rufio: a sarcastic, quick witted, blunt (uncaring of how rude his words can be) outspoken but respected individual, with a strong intellect and equally strong opinions to a fault. .:Special Skills:. He is a skilled tracker and combatant, both with weapons (mostly blades) and hand to hand, has impeccable aim, able to move extremely quietly (good at sneaking up on people), acrobatic

.:Birthplace:. Unknown .:Family:. All deceased .:Occupation:. Right hand man of Pan: second in command [this will only remain if a memmber who plays Pan is in agreement; if not, I can edit this out] .:History:. Not much is known about Rufio's past and he much prefers to keep it that way. His father was never a part of his life, and his omther passed when he was young, leaving him to pactically raise his sister on his own. The two were extremely close but when their village was raided, she became one of the casualities. This left Rufio feeling lost, unloved, devestated . . . and vulnerable to the Piper's call. HeHe adjusted to the Neverland life and became a close ally of Pan's. He was highly skilled in combat, and would train the others, giving him the unofficial title of general. He got along with most all the lost boys, he had the qualities of a natural leader and eventually, this caused him to be in disagreement of Pan's rule. He secretly began to plot mutiny, making his plan known only to those he trusted most who also shared the same feelings towards Pan.
His plan was only thwarted when interferred by Hook,a Captain who sought after him to end the attempt to overthrow Pan. Hook and his men ambushed Rufio when he was by himself; something that was seen by a witness who reported back to Pan that Rufio was dead. Killian was meant to kill Rufio, however upon Tink's insistence, he spared his life. Instead, he snuck him onto his ship, claimed to Pan and the others that Rufio was dead, and granted him passage outside of Neverland along with him when the time came that Pan let him go.
Rufio was dropped in the Enchanted Forest, and not soon after, the curse struck , he was sucked into Storybrooke where he became Devon. Like everyone else, his memories were absent from his mind until the curse was broken.
