game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Hey all! I am looking to get more plots with Hades: God of the Underworld! He went to Storybrooke during the second curse, after finding a way to escape his banishment into the Underworld. His story is that of what we have seen in Hercules, minus his demise. If you would like a thread with him while in the Underworld, wandering around the Enchanted Forest, or in Storybrooke, let me know by either replying here or shooting me a pm! Looking forward to it! Cheers =)

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH The rumors going around town were ones that peaked Hades interest. Normally, he hardly cared about anything happening in Storybrooke. Ice princesses, wicked witches, Dark One drama . . . he hardly cared. What was the worst that would happen, he would die? Well, then he'd be right back where he started in the Underworld. And though he had absolutely no desire to go back there, it was a worst case scenario for him. So really, he wasn't the slightest bit fazed by anything here. But, most recent rumors caught his attention and he had decided to further explore them. Why? Because, Maleficent was back from the dead. Quite literally. She had been ressurected with the help of everyone's favorite duo, and now, she was among them once more. And she wasn't exactly hiding, which meant . . . she had her powers in tact.
Now this was something Hades just couldn't resist. So in this late hour, he followed her to the outskirts of town. Perhaps she knew he was following him, perhaps not. Either way, he wanted their conversation to be had without the public's eyes upon them or eavesdropping ears. Besides, he was the God of the Underworld; it was his business to know who was being ressurected and brought back from the dead. As soon as she separated herself from the dog woman and sea witch, he would take advantage of the oppourunity. And soon enough, it came. He made his way over to her, noticing that she didn't immediately go toward the cabin and this, was the opportune moment. Slinking out of the shadows of the darkness, he finally revealed himself. "Well, look who's decided to join us back in the world of the living," he said with a smirk as he looked over her. She looked good. Like the powerful being that she was.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH He heard the voice that prompted him to come in and as he did, closing the door behind him, he lay eyes upon his . . . daughter. The word was still so unfamiliar for him to recognize. He just took the moment to look over her, not letting emotion cloud his features but . . . this was indeed a rather, incredible moment. He had no sentimental words to offer of how she looked like her mother -- he barley remembered her mother to be honest. She looked strong, confident, possessing a darkness in her that was no doubt harnessed and properly sustained by Maleficent when she raised her. Yes. She did indeed look worthy to be his daughter.
"In the flesh," he stated, a less than serious comment yet spoken in a serious tone of voice. He wasn't a hugger, someone who would run to her and take her in his arms, spilling tears of joy at this father daughter reunion. If she expected that, he feared she would be massively disappointed. "You look . . . " He gave a slight smile that lasted less than a second; a flicker of satisfaction that she looked the part. "Like the daughter of a God." A compliment, for despite the fact that she was partly human, she looked like a Deity. Like someone he would be proud to call his own. And hopefully, she understood the praising words that he stated.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Never in a million years did Hades think he would be on his way to see his daughter. Had he always envisioned being a father? Not in the emotional sense. More, in physical terms. Things happened after all. But he never thought he would need to raise a daughter. Even in this current situation, that was not the case. Maleficent had apparently done it for him. Which was most excellent. He could trust her not to fill her head with foolish notions of love peace and rainbows and unicorns. No. She would have taught her how to be strong and assertive; how to be powerful.
Hades, clad in sophisticated attire with his hat on his head, made his way to the cabin that Maleficent assured him they would have some privacy in. Apparently Rumple and the dog lady weren't here. He forced himself to remain composed but he had to admit . . . he was a little nervous. Mostly out of not knowing what to expect. From what Maleficent had told him, Persephone sounded like a fine young woman. But did she expect him to show some sort of paternal warmth? Or was that just something instinctual that he would experience when seeing her? Taking a deep breath he gave only one knock on the door before allowing himself entrance. Here we go . . .

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Oh this was too much fun! Damian question what Hades was doing here, before repeating the question with more curiosity, which only made Hades smile remain in place. He decided to make himself comfortable, sitting on one of the arm chairs after he had scanned over his room. He then looked at the former Boogyman, deciding to give some answer to his question. "I know, I know. You're here wondering how I got out of that hell. And well, let's just say it wasn't damn easy. But I have my ways." He wasn't going to give specifics of how or who he had made a deal with.
What mattered was that he was out now. And perhaps unlike many of the others, he was content to stay here as long as it took because the more time he left the Underworld unruled, the more likely chaos would ensue over Mount Olympus. "But let's talk about you," he said, that same teasing tone rather apparent in his voice. "Hows everything been going here for you?" He asked, not inquiring out of concern, but rather . . . to be mocking of his powerless state.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Hades kept a smile on his lips as Damian stopped mid sentence once he realized who was standing on the other side of the door. He even vocalized this acknowledgment, quite aware of the fact that Pitch may be a tad bit resentful toward the Lord of the Underworld. But that hardly phased him. In fact, it was part of what brought him to his door: rubbing it in. "Pitch," he said, returning the greeting. "Now if you think I'm here to gloat . . . " he began to say, his voice suggesting for a moment that he wasn't here for that.
He then took advantage of the fact that the door had been opened a little more once Damian registered who he was. "Then you're absolutely right," Hades finished nonchalantly, as he walked by Pitch and right into his place. Hades' arrogance allowed him to have a strong sense of entitlement, which meant he didn't need an invitation to come inside. His eyes looked around the room before he turned toward Pitch, standing in the middle of his place of residence. "So, how have you been?" He asked, his voice displaying a clear tone of mocking. He obviously didn't really care how the man was. He was just here to, as he said, gloat. "Trouble sleeping I take it?" He further inquired with the same taunting manner.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Hades smiled as she returned his greeting with a bit of a tease . . . though her words did indeed hold truth. Part of his advantage here was that he was unrecognized by most. And if anyone was to recognize him, at least it was an ally rather than a nemesis. So really, he was pleased that it was Meg before him and not someone like Zeus or Hercules. Leave it to those damn supposed heroes to try and weasel their way into Hades life once again in attempt to stop his ambitions.
"True enough," he said in response to her words. He supposed it was more rare for him to be among the living than for her. She had after all, been among them in order to aid in his plan. She then told him that it was good to see him in once piece. "Right back at you," he said, taking a few more steps toward her as he looked over the sight of her. Ah yes. She looked well indeed. And she, like him, seemed to have conformed to the attire of this world. And she looked pretty damn good in it too. "Now tell me, how did a little delight such as yourself get warped into this curse?" He questioned. Apparently, he hadn't even know she'd been in the Enchanted Forest.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH She played along with his words, though there seemed to be some truth to them as well. It didn't sound like she wanted her heart back any time soon, so until she did -- and was willing to give him something good for it -- he would keep it. They had after all, struck a bargain where they both gained something, and lost something. Fair was fair. "How poetic," he said with playful teasing. She then asked if he was enjoying his freedom and his answer was almost immediate.
"Tremendously," he responded, not about to deny the joy that escaping the Underworld brought him. "And the party has just barely begun," he added on with a sinister smile. He would enjoy it more when he had Zeus kneeling at his feet, pathetically begging for his life. Hades didn't plan to kill him right away. He planned to make his dear brother suffer. The taste of vengeance would be oh so sweet. But once again, Hsdes was forced to exercise patience and await the conditions that the Fates had told him of. Only then, could he strike.
She then made a proposal, wanting him to teach her the ways of dark magic . . . so that she could spread corruption, forcing those with pureness to suffer. "My kind of woman," he said smiling as he neared her, now standing directly in front of her. He cocked his head to the side, his eyes intently looking at her as if he was trying to read into her soul and mind, wanting to see just how serious she was about this. "Fortunately for you, I have some time to kill." God knows how long it would take for the Underworld to go to hell. Ha. Such irony in the statement.
"But all you're offering me is not bothering me again?" He both questioned and acknowledged. He put his finger on her chin, slightly tilting her head up. "That the best you can do?" He questioned. He was greedy enough to not do anything out of the kindness of his heart. The more he could get from someone, the better. But then again . . . maybe he wouldn't be too hard on her since she did give him his freedom, even if it was through the means of a bargain. He was quite aware that not just anyone could have given him that.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH He could see her relax when she saw who had come. He supposed that it could have been someone far worse. He considered Maleficent an ally, at the very least. And together, they would certainly be unstoppable. She voiced her curiosity at what was selling, and he continued to smile, just as he continued to step toward her. "Something that's priceless," he answered, leaving his response cryptic for a moment as he let her mind think it over. "Your freedom," he finally answered, a smile continuing to play on his lips. He may lie on certain occasions, or well . . . twist the truth as he liked to call it, but not this time. No. He had come here to get her out: to unleash her.
She then asked to what she owed the pleasure of his company, though he focused on the latter question more as she inquired the way in which he found her. "Well I could bore you with the details, or I could save us the time and fast forward to the fact that I did find you. And it wasn't at all easy, but I believe, well worth it." A smirk remained on his face as he watched her, moving closer to her still, feeling the strength of her beating heart in his possession as he neared its owner. "What do you say, Mal? Are you ready to get out of here?" He asked somewhat rhetorically as he presumed the answer would be yes. He knew what it felt like to be trapped in such a place. He had after all been stuck in the Underworld for far too long. Funny how the role had somewhat reversed since she was now the one trapped in a world that was under. Ironic indeed.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Hades wasn't sure he believed in fate. Not in the way that all these love sick puppies running around this town seemed to believe in. He believed in prophecy. In what The Fates told him -- it was after all, why he had been so determined to get out of that hell -- literally -- that he had been trapped in for so long. If he did in fact believe in destiny, and everything happening for a reason . . . then perhaps it would have made more sense as to how he just happened to come across none other than the Boogyman himself. Correction: former Boogyman -- Hades had assured that.
The former Lord of the Underworld had been visiting the morgue at this late nightly hour -- a rather fitting place for him. He was checking the bodies, still making sure that Zeus nor the others had made their way here due to the curse. On the one hand, it would be good considering he could get rid of him on equal ground. On the other, Hades wanted to make sure he had the upperhand of being prepared should Zeus shove his way into his life here. It was his wandering through the hospital, that he had caught sight of Pitch in he distance. It had been enough for Hades to pause and watch him, a smile creeping on his lips.
Oh now this was far too tempting an opportunity to resist! Hades just had to gloat and catch up with his former . . . whatever they were. Clad in a fedora to conceal his face, Hades quite literally followed the man, though ensured to watch from a distance, not wanting to create a public scene. Apparently, there were two Sheriff's here, which was a ridiculous notion but alas, it was the way things worked in this bizarre town. Hades proceeded to follow him, watching where he was going, and it was only until he was inside where he was staying, that Hades took advantage of this opportune moment. He waited for a bit, before following him, knocking on the door in a musical manner. Knock Knocknockknock . . . Knock knock!

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Storybrooke. Not the most desirable place, but hey, it was better than some. Better than the Underworld. He was still free from it, still wandering above the cursed place he'd been banished to by his dear old brother. A brother he had not yet seen, which was good. Hopefully it either meant that Olympus was in chaos, or that he was dead.
Either suited Hades just fine. Until he could return though, he was living under this curse same as everyone else. The only advantage he had was that almost no one recognized him -- so far. And because of that, he was able to lay low for the time being. Until he figured out his next course of action.
Making his way to the graveyard, he wandered among the tombstones, seeing if he came across any familiar names. Hearing footsteps in the distance, his eyes shot toward their direction, a figure soon coming into view. He stepped behind a tree, wishing to gain the upperhand by seeing the person before they saw him. And it didn't take long to determine the stranger's identity. That voice. That face. He wouldn't forget it anywhere.
Casually stepping out from behind the tree, he nonchalantly began to walk toward her. "Well, well, well, if it isn't my little Meg-pie," he said in a teasing voice. "Fancy meeting you here among the world of the living." She had been able to go in between, but not him. He had been confined to the Underworld . . . and he had often used her ability to move freely between the two worlds to his advantage.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Finally. FINALLY. Hades had found a way out. A way out of this hell hole that he had called home for far too long. He only hoped that the Fates were correct in their theory, and that soon enough . . . with an unguarded Underworld, the spirits and creatures would break free.
What a glorious image that entered Hades mind. The hard part was now over. Thanks to a deal with Maleficent, he had gained his freedom. Never had he been more glad for woman's suffering that had resulted in her desire to take her own life. It certainly worked out in his favor.
He stood in the forest, deeply inhaling that fresh air that he had so long craved. First stop, out of the Underworld. Next stop, Mount Olympus. Only he would be there as its king; not as Zeus' banished brother. The calling of his name pulled Hades out of these wonderful thoughts, knowing who was summoning him. Not many knew him . . . there were very few who wandered among the land of the living who could easily recognize him.
This woman, Maleficent, was one of the select few. Heading to the nearby caves, he entered, seeing her seated before a fire. "You called?" He questioned, his tone far too casual for the circumstances. "Now why do you look all dark and dreary?" He inquired with a bit of a smile, referring to her state which looked . . . well, less than menacing. "Lord got your heart?" He asked in the continued teasing voice, his words playing on the saying 'cat got your tongue' . . . only his words were rather literal.

game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH It certainly had been no easy task to find the infamous woman. First he had to find the heart, then he had to find the body it belonged to. For a small town, it sure was hard to find people. But part of the advantage of not being recognized and thus being able to lay low . . . was that he could go about his business without suspicion. And in a place with two damn Sheriffs . . . well, it was important to remain inconspicuous, and avoid being the center of attention.
Right now his investigation led him to caves . . . ones that he had to access by going in some strange object that took him down. And down. And more down. He was used to that direction, as former Lord of the Underworld. But if she was indeed here, then it would be worth it. Upon exiting the moving box, he began to confidently walk forward, unafraid of what else may dwell here. He had lived in a hell with all sorts of monsters and crazy souls. This was nothing.
He then heard her familiar voice, claiming that everyone would pay. Oh yeah. That was definitely her. Hades followed the sound, soon enough finding the source of it. "Or maybe you'll pay," he began to say, his voice not threatening but rather, making light of the situation as he continued to continued on to elaborate the meaning of his words. "Preferably in gold and silver, jewels work too. Hey, I'm not picky," he stated jokingly, referring to payment for what he was going to grant her: freedom. Just as she had once given him.

.:Name:. Hades .:Nick Name:. Aiden Gormain [literally meaning Fire Blue] .:Affiliation:. Villain .:Status:. Royal
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Hades stands tall with a bit of a muscular build but not overly so. He has blue eyes, light skin, and brown hair. He has an aura around him, giving him an intimidating and overbearing presence. He dresses in dark colors, mostly blue and neutral tones. His styles greatly differ between Hades and Aiden. As Hades he is often clad in a dark blue robe. As Aiden, he holds a sophisticated appearance in his attire often looking well put together. .:Height:. 6"2' .:Portrayed by:. Michael Fassbender
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Hades encompasses several qualities that a villain is expected to. He is ruthless, selfish, cruel, wrathful, and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He shows sympathy to no one, and will not help another unless it benefits him greatly. He can be quite persuasive, often targeting those who have little other choice than to take him up on his offer. He is cunning, strategic, and an expert strategist and meticulous planner when it comes to his plots -- even though they often fail. He is extremely intelligent but it is often not put to good use. He can be quite sadistic and uncaring of other people's feelings. Among all this, he does have a sense of humor that is often brazen, sarcastic and morbid and he can be quite talkative when he wants to be. He is hot tempered, losing his 'cool' at certain things -- mostly pertaining to his brother and family. He is power hungry and practically consumed by this greed. He enjoys causing havoc though detests his current location of banishment. .:Strengths:. Intelligence, possesses some magic [mainly fire related abilities -- having blue flames surrounding him which are of the hottest degree -- and other abilities that are associated with being God of the Underworld], can have an intimidating presence. .:Weaknesses:. Very short tempered, trapped in the Underworld, greedy and unsympathetic.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Mount Olympus .:Family:. Zeus [brother], Hera [sister in law], Hercules [nephew], and many more family members that all reside in Mount Olympus, Pain and Panic [minions] .:Occupation:. Unwilling God of the Underworld .:History:. Mount Olympus, located high in the clouds and only accessed by flight. It is a beautiful kingdom inhabited by the fods, filled with peace and riches.m It is a happy place for everyone . . . well, almost everyone. Hades was born as the younger brother of Zeus in Mount Olympus and from an early age, it was clear that there was conflict between the boys. Each God has a distinct power [Zeus' being lightening bolts, Hades being fire]. Hades was in constant competition with his brother, even though Zeus was insistent in maintaining peace between them. It wasn't until their father was destroyed that things truly escalated. Hades wanted to be the ruling God, but as Zeus was not only older but also more suited to be king, he maintained his power. Enraged, Hades made attempts on his life and Zeus had reached the end of his patient streak.
He banished Hades to the Underworld, liberating the current undertaker and replacing him with his evil brother. Hades was in a word: livid. He despised the Underworld, which was a dark, depressing, and sinister place. Most all realized that it was perfectly suited for Hades . . . except Hades. He spent several years dwelling in this place, unable to escape and trapped in guarding the souls of the dead as well as all the creatures that were too dangerous to keep in Olympus. Even if Hades wished for an audience with his brother, it was often denied . . . and when he was permitted, it was often short and not too kind.
Hades still plotted against Zeus from the Underworld, determined to take over Olympus somehow. His motivations intensified when an heir to the kingdom was born, and Hades even went as far as to make an elaborate attempt on his life, using Megara. The plan ultimately failed and once again, Hades was raged by his unsuccessful ploy. Unable to bear it any longer, he consulted the Fates and they theorized that if the Underworld was left unguarded, that the spirits of the dead would escape, as would the creatures kept contained, and chaos would ensue Olympus. Hades focused on this plan, determined on finding a way to escape the Underworld long enough for everything to go to hell -- quite literally.
It seemed fate had once again been in his favor, for he crossed paths with Maleficent. Striking a deal with her, he managed to escape the Underworld, and traveled to the Enchanted Forest where he was out of Zeus' reach of power. It was here that he too was sucked into the curse that ensued the land. In Storybrooke, he remains under the radar for the most part, and as practically no one recognizes him -- since he had encountered only the dead in his realm for the longest time -- then he is able to maintain a low profile. He dwells here, relieved for the freedom, but also eager to return to Olympus when the time is right and claim his position on the throne, excited to see Zeus kneel at his feet and suffer in his losses.
| ~ • ~ | Sample Post | ~ • ~ |
game. set. match MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME: SUDDEN DEATH Hades sat in his supposed throne, clenching his fist as he glared at the nothingness in front of him. An heir. His damn brother had an heir now. He knew that it was bound to happen, he had only hoped that he would have been in control before it did. If he had allowed Zeus and Hero to live during his reign. Oh but he would. He wanted them to watch; to suffer. These however, were only thoughts deeply embedded in his mind and consuming his entire being. Right now, he had a far more pressing concern and that was that there was going to be an undeserving, poor excuse of a prince on Hades throne in Olympus. He felt his chest heaving in pure anger. How he not only had to worry about killing Zeus, but also his annoying little monster. And if the rumors that were already circulating were true, then it would not be easy. Why? Because supposedly the boy's gift of power was strength.
Great. Just damn great. Unable to control his anger any longer a flaming blue fire burst from his hands, destroy the table and chairs set on the opposite side of the room. "PAIN! PANIC!" he yelled out, rising from his seat. The two of his minions knew that tone well enough. They scurried inside, trembling with fear at the Lord's anger. "Whats his name," Hades demanded, each syllable dripping with disdain, anger, and pure hatred. He wanted to -- no, needed to -- know the name of his newest target. The two idiots began rambling, until Hades shot them another glare so them to spit it out. "H-H-Her-Hercules!" Hades gaze went from them to the space in front of him. Starting at nothing, but thinking of everything. "Hercules," he repeated, hating the name and the boy already. A sinister smile began to creep on his lips. "I think it's time to pay my respects to my newborn nephew." After all, what sort of uncle would he be if he didn't.
