It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION The wicked grin was not one he had ever seen grace Emma's expression . . . yet he did not mind it now. He knew that she was under the dark one's curse, but she had also said that she loved him. That, this, was Emma. His Emma. So whatever changes she was undergoing, he need only remember that. Which wasn't too difficult, especially at a time such as now. As she pulled him toward her with his belt, he felt his desire for her turn into an ache . . . especially with her fingers so close to him, there.
He closed his eyes, the anticipation building to almost a maddening extent. Her seductive voice, her scent, the way she felt against him . . . it was all enough to make him crave her with painful desire. But all too soon, she stepped away, moving to the other side of the room which, though his quarters were not massive . . . she still felt so bloody far away. He opened his eyes, swallowing as he looked at her when she spoke toying words to him. What did he want to see her powers do? "I don't need a showcase of your magic," he told her, finding himself being drawn to her more than ever befoer as he stepped closer to her. The distance was unbearable. "I just need you." In all senses of the word. He stood in front of her once again, leaning closer and closer. "I'm already finding resisting you quite, hard," he said, going along with the inneundo that she presented, as his hand rested on her waist.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION The smell of blood was thick in the air as the pool of it spread in the waters. The men were boarding on the ship and Killian was there, helping them. The scene was quite a morbid one, not suited for anyone without a strong stomach. He could already see the unease on one of the crewmen's face. Ever since they had embraced a life of piracy, things had been quite different. They still had a code, and still held honor in it . . . but they did not serve the King. They were not bound by laws. Killian had even cut his hair so that he cut ties to his former status, hating the royal who's cruel mission had nearly taken his brother's life. And now, he was a pirate. They all were.
"I can't get it off me!" Killian looked at one of the men who was trying to wipe away the blood that stained his clothes. He was getting a bit hysterical; most likely from the trauma of recent events. "Calm yourself, Sailor," Killian told him, nearing his side. "It won't get off! Get off!" Killian reached out to put his hands on the man's shoulders when he started frantically waving them, pushing Killian back and into the water. The first mate immediately brought his head to surface, keeping himself above water as he looked up at the ship.
"MAN OVERBOARD!" Someone yelled out. He could see the others start to get the rope ready to toss over. He was about to swim closer to the ship, when he suddenly felt something tug him underwater. He felt a sharp pain from whatever was forcing him down and he tried to use his other foot to kick it off . . . which seemed to somewhat work for he was released and immediately began to swim back up to get his head above the water. He gasped for the much needed air, his eyes darting around him to see where the creature had gone. The fin protruding from the water caused Killian to freeze, as the predator circled its prey.
"Captain . . . " He called out to urge the men to hurry and drop the rope. But it was too late. The blood had been far too much of an attraction and a sudden overbearing pain took over Killian. He froze for a moment, the shock of the event just causing him to freeze before fresh blood began to surround his arm. He felt numb, and the pain caused dizziness to start to set in. He wasn't sure how, but he reached for the rope with his hand and was hoisted up onto the ship. One not all of him returned, for the shark had bit off Killian's left hand.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Liam stated that nothing was wrong, but Killian continued to disbelieve him. He could see it in his eyes, his face, his paled features . . . something wasn't right. His overall energy level was lower than Killian had ever seen it before. He hated the fact that he didn't know what his brother had endured the past few days, for he had not been around him. Not by any choice of his own of course, but that didn't change the fact that he had been absent from his brother's side when he should have been there.
He should have fought harder to resist the damn clutches of the Crocodile. So many had suffered by his hand, and if Liam's condition worsened . . . it was because Killian was not there for him. He couldn't lose him, not again. "We have been through far more trying times, Liam, and I have never seen you like this." Hook tended to trust his gut and right now, it was telling him that not all was well. "If you won't go for yourself, then will you at least go for me," he asked him. For he knew that Liam would do something for his brother, above himself . . . just as Killian would do something for Liam. "Are you going to make me say please?" He asked a bit teasingly. "I'm not really in the habit of it, but you may be forcing my hand." Quite fitting, since he had only one.

all in a day's WORK FOR A HERO Hook knew that there wasn't the slightest possibility that she could let them done. "I doubt you ever could," he told her truthfully. "I'd say you're carrying on the tradition pretty damn well," he said with a playful teasing, though he meant every word. Anyone in the town could see that. It was after all Emma, who had saved them all multiple times.
"Scary, only when it's in the wrong hands." Like Isaac's. "He will," Killian agreed emphatically. "And he won't ever have to feel alone with such a power. He was all those who love him, surrounding him." His family. Her family. The conversation took a more serious tone as she told him that she never wanted him to do something like that again. While he had no desire to die, he would never hesitant in doing what was necessary to protect Emma, and if it inevitably meant death . . . then so be it. But he wasn't about to put a damper on the mood. Especially knowing that losing him, had been a fear of hers and part of the reason she had initially held back in fully embracing her feelings for him.
"You won't," he told her confidently, placing another light kiss on her lips before continuing to speak. "In case you haven't noticed, I am rather adept at surviving," he said with the utmost teasing as a light smirk played on his features. He didn't want her to dwell on losing him, or the fear of it. He supposed it was part of loving someone though, the fear of losing them . . . for he shared a similar fearful thought. Vengeance had been what kept him alive after Milah. He would not survive Emma's death. "I don't plan on going anywhere for a very, very long time," he further assured. "So best use me wisely," he added on with a playful suggestiveness.

all in a day's WORK FOR A HERO In her lapsed silence, he couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking about with how she looked at him in that oh so beautiful way. But the words she said continued on their conversation. He slightly raised an eyebrow when she told him that Henry had saved the day; that he was the new author. That was a great deal of responsibility indeed, especially for the young lad. If one thing was for sure though, it was that he would not abuse his power the way Isaac. "Three generatons, perhaps more, of heroes in your family, Swan," Hook said with slight teasing, though it was indeed true. "That is quite impressive," he added on.
"Aye. He truly is a remarkable lad," Hook said in agreement. The boy had been through quite a lot, and continued to prove himself a great hero. "He has an incredible future ahead of him." He had already accomplished so much at a young age . . . who knows what he would do in the future. Just like his mother. She added on that they couldn't have dnoe it without him and he softly smiled at her words. The moment their lips touched, he returned the kiss, soft but holding the emotions he felt for her. It was getting harder and harder to not let the words slip out. As he kissed her, his hand fell to her waist where he turned her so positioned her so that she was sitting astride him, rather than at a side angle. His lips slowly eased out of the kiss, though his forehead rested against hers. "I would do it again in a heartbeat," he told her softly. If it meant protecting her and her loved ones . . . he would do whatever it took. "I would do anything for you, Emma," he finished, before lightly kissing the corner of her mouth.

Tag: @returnofmilah you make ONE HELL OF A PIRATE Killian smiled as she said she was glad that he believed she adapted well. And he didn't miss the bat of her lashes, though did not comment on it. He merely enjoyed the sight, as he often did when his eyes lay on her in all her beauty. Seeing her reaction to his offer made it incredibly worth it. The excitement she felt in assisting him with steering and navigating the ship. She went over to the position he usually assumed and found he didn't mind in the slightest that she was there. Had it been anyone else . . . well, he may have found issue with it. Then again, not many would dare try to take his role. He followed her to the wheel of his ship as she took in the sight and asked if he would show her how to steer.
"Aye. I would be glad to," he told her truthfully. Standing behind her, he took one of her hands in his own and raised it to one of the knobs on the wheel. He then did the same with her other hand, casually resting each hand of his on top of each of hers . . . casually, and conveniently. He then leaned forward a little, looking ahead of him though speaking in her ear, as her back was against his front. "Feel that, love?" He began to ask in a low voice. "The waves of the current. The breeze of the wind. The scent of the sea." The utter freedom that could not be attained anywhere else. "Seize the moment and just take it all in." He took in a deep breath, though it was more her scent he was taking in than the water's . . . and that, was not by accident or unplanned.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook gave a slight smile when Charming thanked him, able to hear the strong sincerity in the man's voice. "No worries, mate," he told him with just as much honesty. "It's my pleasure," he added on, looking at the small baby, holding the bundle of joy in his arms. How wonderful it must feel to be a father; to have created a life with the woman that you loved. He had lost his baby before it had entered this world; to have to part with it as Mary Margaret and David had with Emma . . . must have been unbearable and pure torture.
Casting aside such thoughts, he focused on the situation at hand. He told him to keep the hook and the reformed pirate gave a nod, though was still willing to part with it if the little lad required it. He braced himself for Neal's reaction and as David administered the medicine, he reacted with tears and whimpering. It was truly heartbreaking to hear a child's cry, and Hook could see from his peripheral vision that the sound was just as troubling for the baby's father, as tears formed in his eyes. The parrot seemed to help, but only minimally, for the poor thing was kicking as tears streamed down his cheeks. "It certainly seems to have done the trick," Hook said with a soft smile, in response to David's words.
He wanted to ensure that lasted however, and perhaps, even attempt to lull the baby into a slumber. Hook gently rocked the child in his arms, his mind going to his past. His brother and he had enjoyed singing, a skill they had inherited from their mother. She would always sing him a lullaby that was never forgotten in Killian's mind, despite how long ago it was. He had sung it to his and Milah's unborn child and refused to ever do so again after he lost them both. But now . . . holding a baby in his arms, one that he was incredibly fond of, seemed to be just the inspiration he had needed for over three hundred years. So he began to softly sing the melodic lullaby his mother once had to him. A lullaby that Liam had as well when their mother was too sick to tuck him in bed. A song so near and dear to his heart that he wanted to share it now with Emma's family . . . with his new family.

Tag: wickedNote: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Killian listened intently to her words, catching a rather operative one: our people. Did that mean that she held some authority here? She spoke of how the witches kept them safe; wanting to lead them to a era of peace. She was either an extremely loyal subject, or she knew more than the others about these witches . . . and he was fully intrigued. It seemed it was indeed a good decision to pursue her, for she may be far more helpful than he thought. "I have heard stories of the witches and the Wizard." The infamous Wizard of Oz. Perhaps he had answers as well. "You speak as if you know them well. Or at least believe in what they are doing," he said, watching her expression carefully to see if he could read anything from it . . . just in case her words were obvious enough.
"I am intrigued to hear more, if you would spare the time to share with me your knowledge," he asked, extending his arm for her to put hers through if she accepted his request. He knew he had two options with this type of conversation: he could have approached her with hostility to draw an answer out of her through fear and intimidation. Or, he could appear charming and as a perfect gentleman. Her attractive appearance was what led him to the latter as oppose to the former. Though within his desperation, it was never far from an option to use more . . . persuasive methods. However for the time being, things seemed to be going well, and he figured he would find out just how much should she take his arm and share what she knew with him.

all in a day's WORK FOR A HERO Killian smiled when she teased him about how that had better be the case, considering how hard he fought for it. "Aye. And it was worth every effort," he told her truthfully. He had been determined to lower her wall when it came to him, and would have waited for as long as she needed to do so. His expression remained when she told him how hard it was not to kiss him in that moment. He had certainly felt something, right then when they had collided into each other that had left him flustered.
Hook wondered if what they shared would have been enough to break the curse . . . true love's kiss. He had tried to do that when she had been in New York which . . . hadn't ended well. But he knew better than to suggest true love's kiss right now, for she wasn't ready for the words. Instead, he just continued to smile, recalling how it felt to be near her. "Don't worry, love. You can make up for lost time now," he suggested with clear flirtation in his voice and words. He wrapped his hooked arm around her back to hold as she sat at a side angle on his lap, while his other hand casually twirled a lock of her hair around his finger as she mentioned how it would have been odd with Henry standing there.
"I imagine the lad would have made an exception for us at the time," he teased. But of course, he knew what she had meant. He was just so glad that she had made it through, that they all did. Hook also closed his eyes when she kissed the side of his head, hearing her comforting words of being home. "As am I," he said softly. They were safe, home, and everyone had survived. They could not hope for anything better. His hand went to her cheek, gently caressing her soft skin as he looked at her, his gaze filled with soft affection for the woman he loved. The words were getting dangerously close to coming out, knowing how close she had been to saying them herself. "How did you and Henry do it?" He asked, needing to distract the conversation. And it was either that or kiss her. Though the latter wasn't too far off right now.

Tag: wickedNote: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Hook smiled as his words seemed sufficient in capturing her attention. He doubted he was the first to ever say them, but whatever he could do to hold her interest. She asked a question in return rather innocently, which only cause his lips to remain curved upwards in a smile. "Why you of course, love," he replied, gently releasing her hand from his light hold. "I doubt the sight in Oz could get much better than the one I am privileged to witness right now." He needed to appear as harmless as possible right now . . . and he knew with his hook and garb, that wasn't always the case.
Yet for the moment, she did to seem frightened by him; he was not yet planning on using fear to get information from her. That, was a last resort. "Though it begs the question, what is an exquisite woman such as yourself doing wandering the streets on your own?" He asked, somewhat feigning concern yet did ask with genuine curiosity. He had already deduced that she was someone of status . . . he wanted to find out just how high her rank went in this place and if he could get her in touch with either of the four witches.

Tag: wickedNote: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Oz. A peculiar realm indeed, and one that Hook managed to find his way to. It was said that there were four witches that dwelled in this realm and Killian was keen on finding at least one to question the whereabouts of the dagger. Or at least extract some sort of information about it so that he could fulfill his life's goal: to kill the Dark One. Unfortunately, he had not yet come across a single helpful citizen. He was making his way through what appeared to be a rather large city in the realm.
In all of Hook's centuries of life, this was the first time he had ventured to Oz . . . though it had yet to be determined whether it was his last.As he passed through the streets, his eyes caught sight of a woman . . . which, was often enough for Hook to pause for, but something stood out about this one. Apart from her striking features and vibrant hair that caused him to eye her with a less than subtle gaze . . . it was her attire. She appeared to be someone of status based on her garments and accessories and that was more than enough for him to call for her attention.
"I was told that Oz holds a beauty incomparable to any other realm," he began to say as he stood near her, in front of her, so that she knew he wasn't a daft lunatic talking to himself. He then gently took one of her hands into his, lowering his head as his lips gently touched the back of her hand in a light kiss. "I didn't realize until now just how true those words were." Of course he was attempting to flatter her, but his words also held truth. She was indeed a rare and exotic beauty and it made it so much easier for Killian to be in her company, praising her for her exquisite self, and hoping to find out more about who she was and whether she could benefit him . . . perhaps in more ways than one.

Tag: @elizabeth Note: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Her words caused him to pause. He could tell by her tone that it was a somewhat rhetorical question, for she seemed to already know the answer. Killian fell silent as she continued, his expression sobering as she spoke of how he was doing it to protect her . . . and that she didn't want to ruin this; that he didn't have to answer but she wanted to tell him what was on her mind. He felt her lips touch his and closed his eyes, taking in the sensation of her kiss. It wasn't fair to her. She was being so honest, so open with him . . . and he owed her the same.
He owed her the truth. He never wanted her to think that he was using her for these purposes; that he wanted to just make love to her and leave her. He had to tell her the honest truth for at the very least, he owed her that. He remained silent for several more moments, clenching his jaw as he fought back the emotions that came with the words that he was about to say. "I recently lost the woman I loved," he began to say in a low voice. It wasn't that they had broken up or went their separate ways, and Elizabeth needed to know because that had everything to do with why he couldn't take her. "She was, killed. By a powerful enemy." One that was still his enemy; one that he feared would find him and wish him to suffer by taking Elizabeth as well. It would be within the demon's nature to want rip everything that Killian loved away from him . . . just as he believed he had done to him with Milah. "I can't lose you too, Elizabeth," he told her. He had already lost Liam, Milah . . . his baby . . . losing Elizabeth would destroy him completely, or whatever was left of him.

Tag: @elizabeth Note: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION Seeing her expression seemed to sum up how they both felt, and hoped it was conveyed in his own. He knew this moment left him unguarded, but he was quite alright with that. He trusted Elizabeth; enough that he didn't to keep his walls up. He may not be the man she once knew, but that didn't mean that the affection they once had for one another was lost. Their recent actions proved that quite clearly.
He could tell that something was on her mind as he continued to gaze at her, and the fragmented words began to fall from her lips. His hand continued to caress her cheek, as hers moved over his back in a comforting manner. "What is it Elizabeth?" He asked softly, knowing that there was something on her mind, and wanting her to tell him. "You can tell me," he gently reassured her. After everything, and then this . . . well, he hoped she knew she could indeed tell him what she was thinking. Good or bad. He wanted to ask her how she felt, whether he had caused her any pain, but he was more focused on allowing her to express her own thoughts. Besides, he wanted to cater to her; he wanted this to be about her, not him.

Tag: @elizabeth Note: proper gif coming soon! It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION The way her nails raked against his back made him want to ask her to press harder into his skin. Her hand in the back of his hair . . . just, everything she was doing was bringing him closer and closer to the edge. Not to mention the fact that he had said she too was close, and could hear it in the voice with the way she cried out his name in that glorious tone that he longed to hear again and again.
The second he felt her comply with his words, he too let himself go, finding his relelase within her as a deep, breathy grunt of pleasure emitted from deep within his throat. His shoulders relaxed over her, though ensured he did not crush her under his weight. His chest heaved, panting for breath as he just basked in the euphoric aftermath of their actions. He couldn't even form words right now. He didn't want to pull out of her, didn't want to change their seemingly perfect positions. He just pressed his forehead against hers, heavily inhaling and exhaling against her lips as he struggled to open his eyes, if only to gaze at her beautiful face. His hand released its hold of her chest and raised to her cheek where he placed it, before deeply kissing her lips, finding that catching his shortened breath was highly overrated . . . for he'd much rather quench his thirst for her rather than drink in any oxygen.

It's Always Nice TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION It was abundantly clear that all was not well. And her words of not wanting to hurt him . . . well, he knew full well what she meant. Even still, he remained unafraid. He did not fear her or what she could do to him. He feared only losing her, the way he had lost Milah. She conceded to staying, and sarcastically spoke of seeing Archie first thing in the morning as she pulled herself under the covers, toward the edge of the bed. He stood there, looking at her, though she had made it clear that she did not wish to argue about this. He didn't want to either, but nor did he want her to lay with such an anger and frustration toward him, or anyone else. He sat at the edge of the bed, on the same side she was laying, in the small space that was there. "This isn't about making me happy," he told her, gently. She may not want to talk any more, but he wasn't about to let any resentment over his words fester within her. He wanted to eliminate it.
"I'm not afraid of you hurting me," he added on, wanting that to be clear. "So if you wish to yell, or let out whatever is building within you, then do so." For letting it continue to build within her, wasn't healthy. And it certainly wouldn't help her sleep at night, void of nightmares. "I'm not going anywhere," he said softly with a slight tease, but also completely meaning his words. Whether she wanted her space or not, he leaned down and gently kissed her cheek. "I just want you to be happy, Emma. And I know that right now, there is a lot that weighs heavy on your heart. Please, don't push me away from it. Let me be there for you." In whatever way he could. Where she was not not on speaking terms with her parents, where she was struggling with the darkness that everyone feared . . . he didn't want to be an added burden on her heart. He wanted to be a source of calm and peace for her, even though he was failing considering her nightmares and well, their recent interactions.
